Springtime Happiness

Spring is a time for new beginnings and new life. Baby bunnies and birds are born. New flowers are planted or old ones begin to bud again.
I love having vibrant flowers in my yard and in my home. Too bad I don't have a green thumb to keep them alive. Even if I did have a green thumb, we are in such a drought, they would die anyway.
Miranda had this picture taken at preschool. From what they said, those bunnies are bred to be "photo" bunnies. What will they think of next?!

UME

David and I just got back from the most AMAZINGLY, intense weekend. We spent 48 hours at a MarriageEncounterWeekend.

This weekend was such a priceless gift. A gift that David and I have given not only to each other but for Miranda as well. Even though Miranda did not attend, the information you get and learn, benefits the whole family. You must devote 48 hours to each other as a couple with NO distractions.

The weekend is NOT: group therapy, marriage counseling, or sensitivity training.

The weekend is: for couples with good marriages, to help them grow even better.

You are given no schedule. You don't what you're doing until they tell you. Just when I thought I had the weekend figured out and I knew what was going to happen next, I was totally blown away. Not just once, but the whole weekend. I am on such a high right now from this experience. I would recommend that you RUN and not walk, if you have an opportunity to attend this AMAZING weekend.

Never in a million years did I think I could learn and get everything I got out of this experience in just 48 hours. You are given alot of one on one time with your spouse to share and use the communication tools that you are given. The weekend is jammed packed, so sleeping in, is NOT an option. If I would have known about this weekend I would have done it so much sooner!
For those of you who know me personally, I am a shy person. I don't like large group settings. I didn't have to share a thing with the group other than introducing myself the first night. That put me more at ease.
This weekend was truly a blessing from God, for David, myself and Miranda!
God Bless!

bad bad bad blogger

I know, I haven't been on in a LONG time. It's been so long, I actually forgot how to sign in. Oops!

Nothing really new going on. David and I are going to a marriage encounter through our church this weekend. This will be the first time in 3 1/2 years to get some "alone" time. Too bad I won't get to sleep in. From what I hear the 48 hours that you are at the encounter, it is jammed packed.

We've been looking at fifth wheels so we can start traveling and spending more family time together. It seems that we get caught up in the house/work stuff and we never make time to be just together as a family. They have a few deals on some 2006 left overs. We really want one. But, I want to wait until my car is paid off and finally be able to breathe again. Only 4 more payments! Yipee!!!
